ข่าว ซีอีโอ Epic Games เรียก Find My ของ Apple ว่าเป็นเทคโนโลยีที่น่าขยะแขยง

Tim Sweeney ซีอีโอ Epic Games เปิดหน้าชก Apple อีกแล้ว เมื่อเจ้าตัวแสดงความเห็นใน X ต่อจากข่าว Find My ว่าเป็นเทคโนโลยีติดตามตัวที่น่าขยะแขยง (creepy surveillance tech) พร้อมเล่าว่า เขาเคยถูกขโมย MacBook ไป หลังจากนั้นเป็นปี เขาเปิด Find My และพบตำแหน่งของ MacBook ซึ่งระบุตำแหน่งบ้านของเด็กที่ขโมยไป ซึ่งไม่โอเคเลย

หลายคนแสดงความเห็นตอบโต้ Tim ว่ามันผิดปกติตรงไหนที่เราจะติดตามอุปกรณ์ของเราถ้าหายหรือถูกขโมย ซึ่ง Tim ตอบกลับประมาณว่า แม้แต่ขโมยก็มีสิทธิในความเป็นส่วนตัวของตัวเอง กระบวนการติดตามตัวขโมย ควรเป็นสิทธิของฝ่ายใช้กฎหมาย

ทั้งนี้ Apple ระบุในหน้า Privacy ว่า Find My ใช้การเข้ารหัสแบบ end-to-end และ Apple ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลตำแหน่งใดๆ ได้
