ไมโครซอฟท์ยุคใหม่ที่แท้จริงต้องทำเกมลง PlayStation โดยเกมล่าสุด Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition ที่ออกเวอร์ชันคอนโซล Xbox ในปี 2023 มาลง PS5 แล้ว มีกำหนดขาย 4 พฤศจิกายน 2025

นี่ไม่ใช่ครั้งแรกที่เกมตระกูล Age of Empires ออกเวอร์ชัน PS5 เพราะเมื่อต้นปีนี้ มี Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition กับ Age of Mythology: Retold กรุยทางมาให้ก่อนแล้ว

เกม Age of Empires IV ยังประกาศภาคเสริมใหม่ Dynasties of the East มีชนชาติใหม่ให้เลือกอีก 4 ชาติ ได้แก่ Golden Horde, Macedonian Dynasty, Sengoku Daimyo, Tughlaq Dynasty แผนที่ใหม่อีก 8 แผนที่ และโหมดใหม่ The Crucible แนว roguelite ศัตรูไม่ซ้ำ เล่นได้เรื่อยๆ วางขายวันเดียวกัน 4 พฤศจิกายน บนพีซี, Xbox, PS5
