กูเกิลประกาศให้ผู้ใช้ Google Account สามารถเปลี่ยนชื่อบัญชี Gmail ของตัวเองได้แล้ว โดยยังสามารถเก็บชื่อเก่าไว้ได้ด้วยเช่นกัน (ที่อยู่อีเมลอันเก่าจะกลายเป็น alternate email address และรับเมลเข้าได้ทั้งสองบัญชี)
