หลังจากไมโครซอฟท์ประกาศช็อควงการด้วยการนำเกมตัวเองไปขายบนคอนโซลคู่แข่ง เกมใหญ่ที่ถูกจับตามากที่สุดใน 4 เกมแรกคือ Sea of Thieves เกมโจรสลัดออนไลน์ มีกำหนดลง PS5 วันที่ 30 เมษายน ในราคาแพ็กเกจล่างสุดที่ 39.99 ดอลลาร์ / 39.99 ปอนด์

ล่าสุด Sea of Thieves เปิดให้พรีออเดอร์บน PlayStation Store และก็ไม่ทำให้ไมโครซอฟท์ผิดหวัง เพราะขึ้นเป็นเกมพรีออเดอร์อันดับหนึ่งในสโตร์หลายประเทศ เช่น สหราชอาณาจักร ฝรั่งเศส (สโตร์ของสหรัฐอเมริกา ตอนเขียนข่าวนี้อยู่อันดับสอง แต่ก็มีคนจับภาพขณะขึ้นอันดับแรกไว้ได้)
