กูเกิลเดินหน้าเพิ่มฟีเจอร์ Agent เข้ามาในผลิตภัณฑ์ของตัวเอง ล่าสุดคือ BigQuery เพิ่ม Data Engineering Agent เข้ามาช่วยแก้ปัญหางานวิศวกรรมข้อมูลที่สิ้นเปลืองเวลา
Data Engineering Agent ใช้โมเดล Gemini มาช่วยสร้าง data pipeline ในรูปแบบต่างๆ โดยผู้ใช้สามารถสั่งงาน Agent ด้วยภาษาธรรมชาติ เช่น Create a pipeline to load data from the 'customer_orders' bucket, standardize the date formats, remove duplicate entries, and load it into a BigQuery table named 'clean_orders' แล้ว Agent จะสร้างคิวรี SQL ให้อัตโนมัติ ซึ่งรวมถึงการแก้ไข pipeline ของเดิมด้วย
ฟีเจอร์อื่นที่ Agent ทำได้คือการเชื่อมกับบริการ Dataplex (data governance), สามารถกำหนด User-Defined Functions (UDFs) แบบคัสตอมได้, สร้างเอกสารประกอบ pipeline ให้อัตโนมัติ
