news vBulletin 6.2.0 is available for download

vBulletin 6.2.0 is now available for self-hosted (download) customers. vBulletin Cloud sites will be automatically upgraded over the upcoming weeks.

Time-Limited Post creation.

The Post Flood Check system has been refactored. These changes allow System Administrators to limit the number of posts a user can create per hour in each channel. To implement these changes, head to the AdminCP and edit individual channels in the Channel Manager (Channels → Channel Manager). Each channel has two new options, Maximum Posts Per Period and Hours in Period. The defaults for these are 0, which disables the functionality.

Please note this is a post-level permission, not a reply-level permission. If you set this to 1 post every 24 hours, and the user starts a topic, then they have used their post for that time period.

When the per-channel flood check is disabled, the system will fall back to the Minimum Time Between Posts setting. In addition to this, you can edit individual usergroups to skip the flood check on these channels in the Channel Permissions tool.

Human Verification

Site Administrators can now implement Cloudflare Turnstile as an active Human Verification Method. To get started, you will need to visit Cloudflare to create a site key and secret key. Then, in the vBulletin AdminCP, visit Settings → Human Verification Settings. Once there, select Cloudflare Turnstile and save. Once you've changed your verification method, you can enter your site key and secret key.

The light or dark mode appearance of Cloudflare Turnstile is controlled by a Style Variable named is_dark_mode.

All Day Events

All-day events should now display properly in more instances. Previously, all-day events may have appeared as two-day events due to time zones. Now they use a floating date format that works to alleviate this display issue.
