vBulletin 6.1.6 Changes and Updates
vBulletin 6.1.6 is now available for self-hosted (download) customers. vBulletin Cloud sites will be automatically upgraded over the upcoming weeks.Video Embedding
Support for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and Aparat videos have been added to the [video] bbcode. Users can embed these videos directly in their posts. Due to the vertical nature of these videos, they may appear cut off in search results and search modules, but will appear correctly within the posts.Lazy Loading for Images
Lazy Loading has been added for images within posts. This will help reduce initial loading times on long topic views. This feature tells the user's browser to wait to load the image just before it would enter the viewport. If you are using iOS/iPadOS, please note that the feature will only work in Apple's Safari browser version 15.4 or later.Memberlist Sorting
The Member List module now supports sorting by usergroup among the filter options. Administrators will be able to select from all usergroups in the filter. Registered Users will only see Usergroups that have the "Viewable on Member List" permission set to Yes.Log in with "Twitter"
This functionality has been removed from the system. The library used is no longer supported by X. After your site is upgraded, any user who was able to log in this way will have to request a password reset via email to log in.Additional Issues
- Metadata for Links and Video is now searchable.
- Made changes to help Google index video items.
